Here are a few screen grabs from a video I'm putting together for Tourism Industry Association's first ever Yukon Culinary Festival. So far it's been a bit of a tease as I'm usually in "work" mode and every time I've been offered a sample, a new photo op appears and I have to run over to capture it. Hopefully I'll have more time to sample the goods in Dawson over the next two days!

Together Today
These past few months I've been working on a short commemorative video for Aboriginal Affairs here in Whitehorse. They wanted a video that would celebrate the 20th and 40th Anniversary of some key documents that helped pave the way to Yukon Land Claims and First Nations Self-Government. They also wanted it to instil a sense of pride and inspiration. This was definitely one of the more complex projects that I've worked on; not necessarily from a technical aspect, but more due to the political and bureaucratic elements that go along with a project of this nature. In the end, I think it turned out pretty darn good!

Yukon Salmon Sub-Committee: Journeys with Kings
Yukon Salmon Sub-Committee got in touch with me to help edit footage shot on a trip down the Yukon River last summer. They visited a number of villages along the river in order to get a better understanding of the status of the King Salmon and to talk with locals about strategies to protect the resource.

Yukon Tourism Video
Some screen grabs from a video I did for Yukon Tourism Industry Association's annual meeting. Sounds like there'll be some pretty cool stuff happening in 2013!

SimaPalooza
Back when I used to snowboard regularly, someone was considered super good if they could do something like a 540ยบ. It seems the bar has risen slightly in the last decade or so.
Here's some slow-mo footage taken from this year's SimaPalooza.

Breath of Life Yoga Studio
These days I'm about as flexible as a frozen rubber band and a recent shoot for Breath of Life yoga studio made me quite aware of this fact. I wasn't always this way, in university during soccer season I could actually touch my toes, now I'm lucky to reach my shins. In any case, this shoot (and the post shoot soreness) has inspired me to do more stretching, and meditation...maybe I should just attend some of their classes.
